I believe many of the youth that are leaving the Church or going to other denominations is because our Coptic Church in America does not have the tools to teach the Priests on how to effectively keep the congregation engaged during Sermons or lectures. I have attended many protestant sermons and they are concise, to the point, and not exceeding 40 minutes. It is a fact that people have a limited attention span, so it is crucial that our Priests be trained on public speaking. Another reason is that the services provided for our younger children is lacking in comparison to the alternative Protestant services. Many of the Churches in America have unqualified Servants teach Sunday Schools and many are only taught in Arabic to serve the overwhelming migration of Newcomers to the States. Again, it is a lack of education to the servants on how to deal with young children and to captivate them in a limited amount of time. I love my Coptic Church and will never leave it, however i regularly attend Protestant services as i receive a real life message instead of an extended Bible study. It is extremely important to provide a real life message to the youth. I encourage whoever is reading this to attend some of the Protestant services simply to see how they capture the love, loyalty, and respect of their congregation with their welcoming attitude. God Bless
